Films will be selected by a panel of independent
judges; then screened by an open invitation audience. In addition
to taking home the coveted eddy awards and valuable prizes, participants
have the opportunity to attend forums with industry speakers,
view other entrants’ films and network with fellow filmmakers.
We accept all genres – narrative, doc,
animation, music video...
There is no date-of-completion requirement.
Work entered in previous Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festivals
is not eligible.

This is the heart of the Festival! Your entry
must have a connection to this great state, such as a key crew
member or actor born, lived, educated or worked in Iowa; a story
set in Iowa or about Iowans; or part or all of your film produced
in Iowa.
PROFESSIONAL AND
PRO-AM : $40

STUDENTS: $35

Enrolled in grade school, high
school, or college at any level, or a graduate entering work completed
while a student.
Students must enclose a photocopy of school identification or
class schedule.
Students may elect to enter in the non-student categories.
Each paid entry fee entitles you to one-on-one
judges’ critiques, one complimentary Full Event Pass, and
one commemorative 2008 Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival
t-shirt (Official Selections printed on the back).

will allow a few days for DVD's and tapes to arrive, however,
we ask that you contact us to let us know they will be late.
